Vehicle
Ordering Process in
Japan
Since we do not
carry the particular model you are inquiring about, we would be happy to find
you a good model which you can custom order. Many of our local and international
customers do this so they are able to get exactly what they want. Following is
the step by step process we use:
- We
first take your order. On our invoice sheet we will list the make, model,
all specs and optional features you want. We also ask if can choose 2-3
available colors. During this preliminary stage you are able to make any
changes on the “Vehicle Details” section
- We
will either arrange to meet with you to collect the deposit in U.S. Dollars
cash, or you can send yen to our Japan bank account.
- We
then start to source your vehicle as per our invoice. Time to source your
vehicle will vary with the model but may take from 1-4 weeks. We have access
to the auction web sites where we buy our cars (primarily on Wednesday
through Friday), and so we usually send our customers sample photos &
details of any cars which we intend to inspect and possibly bid on the day
before.
- We
then carefully inspect the car the next day at the auction prior to bidding
on it and actually call our customers to tell them details on the
models. After consulting with our buyers we then place bids on the
best model(s). Once we win the bid and the car is delivered to us
within the week, we arrange to show you the car for final approval.
- We
then have the car given a comprehensive service check and take care of
anything that needs attention as per the service check. We will give you a
copy of the service check.
- After
that we arrange to deliver the car and do the legal paperwork for the
vehicle transfer usually in 7-10 days after purchase is made as it takes
this long to get the legal documents from the auction.
Note: Using this careful process
we have never had any of our customers refuse a car. If for some unforeseeable
reason you cancel your order after we purchase it, then we have to pay
various auction and transport fees to return the car to the auction which come
to $500 which we would charge to you.
